Q: What's the A-GPS?

A-GPS (Assisted GPS) - technology of positioning,
when some part of the necessary for calculations information is providing from additional channel.
For example,through GPRS. Sometimes, device with A-GPS do not calculate
your coordinates directly it receiving signals from satellite and send it to your provider,
then your provider give you all information.
so, A-GPS is kind of additional function,but can't work without GPS.

AGPS just improving GPS, making your work faster, because give you some data from mobile network,
not only waiting for satellite. AGPS also works better than GPS when the signal is weak,
and also you get your coordinates faster. AGPS cant work without GSM module (i.e. if you are not in network).
They require to download 5-7Kb data when you start it,
also if the signal has been lost, they need to synchronize again, so need to receive data from server again.
Sometimes If dial up as AGPS, most case is charge by data flow.
